Dear Friends,

The Bible calls us to teach children about the love, grace, and mercy of God through the atoning work of His Son. In the Old Testament book of Psalms we read, “I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things, things from old—what we have heard and known, what our fathers told us. We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done. He decreed statutes for Jacob and established the law in Israel, which He commanded our forefathers to teach their children, so the next generation would know them, even the children yet born, and they in turn would tell their children. Then they would put their trust in God and would not forget His deeds but would keep His commands.” (Psalm 78:2-7 NIV) In the New Testament gospel of Matthew, Jesus says “...whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me.” (18:5) Irvine Canaan Christian Community Church strives to be a place that “welcomes children” and helps them discover how to “put their trust in God.”

To accomplish this mission, we have various ministries in place to positively affect your child and family. You are welcome to visit and participate in any of our events. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

short-term pastoral counseling is available for parenting and family relationship issues, and for personal and spiritual matters.
Security
For the safety of your child and for your peace of mind, we have basic security procedures in place for the protection of your child. We conduct extensive background checks on all of our ministry volunteers.
Parents are issued a numbered claim tag when they check their children in. Please return this tag when you come to pick-up your child.
If your child needs you during the ministry program, we will contact you on your cell phone.

We use curriculum written and published by Awana Bible Clubs, Group Publishing, Gospel Light, and ICCCC.
